I once had a law firm order several hundred Thought On Boards for their office windows, so their employees could leave notes saying where they went and when they expected to be back. The firm had many offices with windows looking out onto corridors. Universities have these types of offices, too. My health insurance provider, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, hiked my premium by 33 percent this year, after hiking it 22 percent last year and 15 percent the year before. And they advertise this as a "low cost" plan!?!? How long can this go on before no one can afford health insurance and we all have to go to the free clinic? It's time to put a Thought on Board in the back window of my car window that says, "Rocky Mountain Health Plans: Nonprofit my a**!" Wonder what they pay their CEO? Maybe the media can find out and report on it.

Social media and other emerging internet technologies have played key roles in Great Britain's devastating riots, reportedly sparked by the August 4 fatal shooting of Mark Duggan, a man alleged to have had ties to London gangs, while he was in the custody of Scotland Yard. As it has in other recent uprisings, Twitter played a role in the coordination of England's riots, but the preferred tool of Britain's young looters and arsonists was Research in Motion's (RIM) BlackBerry Messenger instant messaging service (BBM). Thirty seven percent of UK teens use BBM, a free service that makes it particularly easy to send messages to groups. BBM's proprietary encryption also makes messages more private and difficult to trace, another characteristic that made the service popular among perpetrators of England's extensive chaos, arson and looting. Some point to BBM as the primary planning tool for vandals. Some have even called it the London rioter's best weapon.

That's how long I've had the idea for Thought on Board. I've made them by hand and sold them one by one, and I'm amazed at how many uses this product seems to have. It certainly seems to have lots of applications that can really help a lot of people out. I hope people will keep finding new and wonderful uses for my product, and let me know what they are.
